Job Description

CALIBRE, an employee-owned Management Consulting and Information Technology Solutions Company, is looking for a System Architect to support a Chief Information Officer (CIO) organization within the US Department of Defense (DoD). The work will support the CIO in meeting its mission requirements and further support the execution of programs and missions by, assisting, advising, and providing the community with federated, technology-enabled Human Resources (HR) business and IT processes that are compliant with Departmental policies, strategically aligned, and customer-focused.

The Systems Architect supports a team that evaluates and recommends computer systems architecture in an organization.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Developing a sufficient understanding of the organization's current architecture, future IT plans, corporate standards, and emerging trends to recommend hardware and software infrastructure.
  • Serving as a technical expert at the highest level, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
  • Developing an RMF Control Baseline for a DoD enterprise.
  • Establishing RMF Continuous Monitoring Plans.
  • Developing, implementing, using, and maintaining Incident Response Plans.
  • Supporting DoD-level IT Initiatives by providing strategic systems engineering or system life cycle development support.

Job Requirements

  • Must have an active Secret Clearance.
  • IAM Level I Certification: Security+ CE, GSLC or CAP.
Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other relevant discipline; or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with computer telecommunications, LANs and networks, hardware and software.
  • Experience developing, analyzing, and maintaining BEA models and data.

Desired Experience or Skills:

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Practitioner.
  • Knowledgeable of DoDI 8500.01, Cybersecurity; DoDI 8530.1, Cybersecurity Activities Support to DoD Information Network Operations; DoDI 8510.01, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD IT.
  • Familiar with Cybersecurity Remediation Management practices as required by the DoD Cyber Strategy to include Vulnerability Analysis and use of the RMF Process.
