Job Description

CALIBRE, an employee-owned Management Consulting and Information Technology Solutions Company, seeks a SharePoint Developer / Senior Technical Specialist in support of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The position involves working in the Innovation and Technology Division within the Field Operations Directorate (FOD) of USCIS.

The work involves providing program support services that assists the Government in writing policies, instructions, guides, training materials for the transition to the Electronic Immigration System (ELIS) as well as performance management functions, human capital modernization, budget management modernization, and change management.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop Share Point solutions for content management and process improvement
  • Organize and present technical information in useful formats to stakeholders
  • Establish procedures to manage intranet content and meet business requirements
  • Use Share Point applications to develop and assist with the planning, developing and implementation of employee communications content management and process improvement
  • Develop, track and maintain standard operating procedures, archives, databases, for managing communications and office content through SharePoint
  • Use various Adobe and Microsoft solutions to design enhanced multimedia products such as banners, videos, podcasts, enhanced page layouts, picture sliders, graphics, photo galleries, charts and tables
  • Analyze data and track metrics to formulate recommendations for content management and communications
  • Work closely with the managing editors(s) to ensure intranet content is updated
  • Explain technical information and train users using non-technical terms
  • Provide assistance to content management systems users regarding their roles, expectations, and objectives for managing intranet content
  • Plan and support specific business, management, functional, technical, professional or policy areas of the project to include supporting or leading complex efforts by providing inputs, and preparing high-level briefings of strategic goals

Job Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently and with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated experience/ability to: use SharePoint Developer and Designer, MS Visual Studio, and MS Windows
  • Develop and manage internet/intranet sites
  • Proficiently in managing projects
  • Design graphics
  • Capture and analyze metrics
  • Train and provide technical advice
Required Experience
  • BS/BA Degree
  • Minimum of12 years of total work experience with 4 years of direct experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
