Job Description

CALIBRE, an employee-owned Management Consulting and Information Technology Solutions Company, is looking for a Senior System Architect to support a Chief Information Officer (CIO) organization within the US Department of Defense (DoD). The work will support the CIO in meeting its mission requirements and further support the execution of programs and missions by, assisting, advising, and providing the community with federated, technology-enabled Human Resources (HR) business and IT processes that are compliant with Departmental policies, strategically aligned, and customer-focused.

The Senior Systems Architect leads a team that evaluates and recommends computer systems architecture in an organization.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Developing sufficient understanding of the organization's current architecture, future IT plans, corporate standards, and emerging trends to recommend hardware and software infrastructure.
  • Serving as technical expert at the highest level, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
  • Analyzing and providing assessments on the severity of weaknesses and deficiencies in information systems, risk mitigation approaches, security alerts and potential adverse effects of identified vulnerabilities.
  • Documenting agency High Value Assets (HVA) and architecture.
  • Performing technical risk and vulnerability assessments and providing reports for IT and IS accreditation.

Job Requirements

  • Must have an active Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other relevant discipline; or professional certification in network engineering; or equivalent work experience.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other relevant discipline; or professional certification in network engineering; or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have a minimum of 7 experience working with computer telecommunications, LANs and networks, hardware and software.

Desired Experience or Skills:

  • Training and experience with BEA models, modeling tools, and data repositories.
  • IAM Level I Certification (required for personnel performing Cybersecurity support): Security+ CE, GSLC or CAP.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Practitioner.
  • Familiar with Cybersecurity Remediation Management practices as required by the DoD Cyber Strategy to include Vulnerability Analysis and use of the RMF Process.
  • Familiarity with System Architect, BEA modeling tool(s), and the DoDAF.
