Job Description

CALIBRE, an employee-owned management and Technology Solutions company, is seeking a Senior Software Developer to support the Joint Staff J7 Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) division to ensure online joint training and education of individuals and staffs evolves to remain relevant, efficient and effective in support. This position is contingent on federal contract award

Required Skills
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must possess/maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Familiarity with the Joint Knowledge Online System
  • Experience as a Naval Officer
  • Experience defining strategic vision for client requirements and how they translate in application features
  • Experience formulating and defining system scope and objectives, develops or modifies processes to solve complex problems and translate them into specifications for new applications
  • Experience designing creative prototypes according to specifications
  • Knowledge of the development and application of advanced engineering and design methods, theories, and research techniques
  • Ability to modify existing software and develops special-purpose software to ensure efficiency and integrity between systems and applications
  • Experience leading the evaluation of existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features
  • Experience with the development technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design
  • Experience in researching, testing, building and/or integrating new software products or major enhancements to existing software
  • Experience performing software feasibility analysis on potential future projects Instruct, assign, direct and check software development team work

Required Experience


  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems Management/Information Technologies (or similar), with a minimum of 10 years’ experience with six years as a specialist or
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and work experience.
