CALIBRE, an employee-owned Management Consulting and Information Technology Solutions Company, is looking for a Senior Network Administrator is responsible for providing the day-to-day management of site networks and systems in support of TRADOC TCM-ITS and US Army Centers of Excellence (CoE), Schools, and education Institutions. The Senior Network Administrator oversees data communications networks, including local area networks, wide area networks, hubs, routers, switches, wireless networks and network security at 17 locations across the United States. The Senior Network Administrator provides enterprise users with available and reliable access to network resources in all local, Internet, and remote locations. The Senior Network Administrator ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization.

  • Manage and maintain network performance and network security. Provides advanced technical expertise to maintain the stability and security of the organization’s LAN/WAN environment.
  • Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, integrity, and management of site network systems, LAN and WAN
  • Responsible for implementing and executing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to ensure site accreditation in support of all simulation exercise requirements. Assist in development and implementation security policies as directed by client.
  • Responsible for maintaining network security and information assurance for the networks infrastructure; ensure compliance with information systems security monitoring notification procedures.
  • Responsible for analyzing and reviewing network security incidents; creating and maintaining access control lists (ACLs) on routers, switches and firewalls; and conducting threat and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with information assurance standards.
  • Responsible for implementing vendor security measures, Defense Information System Agency’s (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Army Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) and other directives.
  • Perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot and remediation of network events and issues.
  • Provide scheduling, implementation, and post implementation issues resolution for organizations networks; work with other services and system provides to facilitate their connection and use of training enablers.
  • Reviews network diagrams to ensure compliance with Department of Defense standards and consistent with the network they represent.
  • Maintains, manages, and configures routers, switches, and all related network equipment. Maintain Group Policy and security settings, system authorization access request.
  • Monitors and troubleshoots (identifies, diagnoses, and resolves) network for outages or issues; develops and executes corrective actions to maximize network availably and minimize impact on the customer.
  • Secures network systems; manages, configures, and monitors security systems and access to the network; establishes and enforces network security policies.
  • Captures and performs data analysis on network performance metrics to provide traffic and switching performance information; monitors and reports traffic and capacity requirement trends to Government. which is used to identify positive and negative trends occurring in the network.
  • Performs network modeling for current impact assessments and future network requirements or enhancements.
  • Participates in the selection, installation, and maintenance of all hardware, system software, and network-related components.

Job Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Possesses and maintains an active SECRET clearance.


  • Four (4+) years of work experience in Network Management, Systems Administration, or related fields.
  • Three (3+) years of experience in network architecture and deployment.
  • Experience with Cisco Router/Switches, Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower, IPSec, SSL, VPN, URL Filtering/Layer 7 policies.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, Email, HTTP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP protocols and applications.
  • Experience with LAN/WAN Cabling and Computer Facilities maintenance, PC repair and troubleshooting, and network deployment.
  • Knowledge of the processes and procedures related to supporting large-scale simulation federations, National Simulation Center events, and Mission Training Complex operations.
  • Experience Troubleshooting networks in a multi-user, multi-site, distributed environment.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver technical and non-technical information and instructional briefings and other training to team members and government personnel.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Management, or related technical discipline (Other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted).
  • Possesses Computing Environment certification in Linux, MCSA, MCSE, or MCITP Systems Administrator (Active Directory).
  • Possesses DoD 8570.01m IAT II certification: CompTIA Security+ or higher Information Assurance certification.
  • Possesses certification Network management: Network+, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, etc. Commensurate expertise and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted.
