Job Description

CALIBRE Systems Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Information Technology Solutions company, is looking for Scrum Masters / Agile Leads to support software development services. The support will include the development, operations and maintenance, security, and testing in the development, test, stage, and production environments. These positions will be part of a team engaged in continuous integration / continuous delivery approach to provide cutting edge best practices for Information Technology (IT) delivery. Specifically, the Scrum Master will support the operations of and modernization efforts of large-scale complex legacy systems as well as development of new capabilities in the cloud. The Scrum Master will act as the lead for a team of 9 other IT professionals. As part of the team this position requires individuals that are:

The scrum master will:

  • Lead a self-contained development team in providing full software development capabilities for one or more operational systems (analysis, development, testing, training, help desk and other tasks);
  • Implement the Scrum methodology in accordance with the agency directives;
  • Manage system development activities in coordination with support activities for end-user and system support;
  • Develop creative solutions to managing competing activities and demands on the team; and
  • Implement dynamic structures to support additional systems besides the primary assignment on an as-needed basis.

Job Requirements

  • Understanding of cloud based development and architectures
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Understanding of both COTS-based and open source frameworks
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in large scale, high performance enterprise big data application development on complex heterogeneous environments in the cloud
  • Understanding of AWS cloud services and platforms
  • Full stack expertise
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • Agile-related professional certification
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel and function as a team member
  • Experience in support engagements
  • Administer and manage the Agile tools
  • Ensures compliance with agency directives, guidance and requirements
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
  • Ability to communicate well with team members and business users
Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or Engineering, or other comparable Certifications or experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in development and design in the deployment of enterprise applications in the AWS cloud using agile methodologies
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a public trust

Desired Experience

  • DevOps experience
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in the Federal system engineering environment
  • Other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted
  • Current Secret clearance
