Job Description

CALIBRE, an employee-owned Management and Technology Services Company, is accepting resumes for a Project Scheduler who is experienced in developing, maintaining, and integrating detailed project schedules. Candidates will become part of a core team of schedulers, and a larger team of Master Black Belts, facilitating change leaders in their support of Department of Defense business transformation and reform initiatives.

This is a highly visible and dynamic position. It requires a person who is enthusiastic and tenacious. They must enjoy working within a multifunctional team in a fast passed environment. The projects supported will be sponsored by senior executives and requires to professionally and diplomatically communicate verbally and in writing.

Candidate must be able to collect, organize, analyze, and translate data into useful information. Deliverables produced must be of high quality and in compliance with performance standards. Candidate must be able to advise stakeholders to effectively and efficiently use technology and resources to meet customer’s needs, resolve issues, and meet required deliverables.

Job Requirements

  • Must have an active Secret Security Clearance
  • At least 1 year, but preferred 3+ years, working as a project scheduler or similar;
  • Develop, manage, and maintain large complex integrated project schedules, using Microsoft Project;
  • Develop schedule dependencies, durations, resources, cost, etc.;
  • Create and prepare logical Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) while leading/supporting project team planning sessions related to structure and activities sequencing;
  • Support schedule baseline change documentation and change implementation;
  • Perform schedule analysis to identify/communicate risks and performance issues to the project team;
  • Develop project progress and ad hoc schedule reports and information
  • Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Project, MS Project Server, MS Office Suite, and MS SharePoint;
  • Able to work independently;
  • Ability to provide optimal customer services;
  • At least 1 year, but preferred 3+ years of experience in the Department of Defense or other Government agency;
  • Experience managing team dynamics and conflict resolution within and amongst headquarters level team members;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Excellent research and analysis abilities;
  • Bachelor’s degree in an associated technical or line of business discipline or the equivalent years in experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Desirable Skills:

  • PMP certification is a plus;
  • Experience with MS Project Server is a plus;
  • Background in Lean Six Sigma, CMMI, ITIL, or other similar framework is a plus.
