Job Description

CALIBRE is seeking Database Administrator to a Headquarters, Department of the Army project to perform database administration tasks for the Army’s Cost & Performance Portal (CPP). The CPP site is the 'Army's Home for Cost & Performance', integrating all Army cost management knowledge, metrics and applications in one site. The ideal candidate will interface with the Government client as well as the rest of the team. Regular travel in the Washington metropolitan area will be required.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the Senior Database Architect
  • Design, maintenance and code Oracle databases, preferably with at least one of the following: OBIEE, Oracle Web Center Portal, Oracle Identity Manager, and Oracle Application Express (APEX)

Job Requirements

  • Must possess or be in the process of obtaining a secret clearance
  • Must possess analytical and database skills
  • Must be a good communicator, both written and orally
  • Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task
  • Must be familiar with the principles, methods, and techniques used in all phases of database development, coding, and design. This includes business analysis, event modeling, logical and physical database design, data access analysis and design, DBMS optimization, archive and recovery strategy, load strategy design and implementation, security, and change management
  • General:
    • Windows Server backend including experience working on the command-line level (Command prompt, Powershell)
    • Strong proficiency in creating and maintaining Windows scripts and Windows Services
    • Strong Windows troubleshooting skills
    • Windows networking and SSL protocol configuration including certificate management
  • Oracle Database:
    • Automatic Storage Management (ASM)
    • Advanced Security Option (ASO) with encryption of data-at-rest
    • Recovery Manager (RMAN) configuration and integration with 3rd party storage providers
  • Fusion Middleware (At least one skillset required):
    • Oracle Identity and Assess Management (OID)
    • Oracle Access Manager (OAM) – Single Sign-On configuration particularly for X509 (CAC)
    • Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)
    • Oracle WebCenter Portal (WCP), WebCenter Content (WCC/UCM)
    • Oracle HTTP Server with WebGates (OHS)
    • Oracle Applications Express (APEX)
    • ElasticSearch
Required Experience

  • A minimum 10 years related experience in database administration tasks; general knowledge of Oracle systems
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance

Desired Knowledge/Experience:

  • Familiarity with the Java programming language
  • Experience with the Oracle JDeveloper IDE
  • Any certifications as related to the skills required for this position
