Job Description

CALIBRE, an employee-owned Management and Technology Solutions company is looking for a Network Specialist to join our dynamic team in Oahu, Hawaii.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as an advisor on developments of new technologies in decision support and course of action analysis tools, integrated simulation training devices, and C4ISR digital systems
  • Conduct research and identify developments in digital Mission Command
  • Participate in systems integration testing and apply results to modify specifications and correct issues
  • Receive training from external agencies in potentially classified environments
  • Organize and present knowledge from large data sets using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Conduct research and identify developments in digital Mission Command
  • Brief senior leadership on use of Mission Command and updates in Mission Command Technology
  • Plan and carry out difficult and complex assignments and develop new methods
  • Analyze work activities to determine if IT requirements meet customer business requirement
  • Evaluate alternatives for application development (i.e., contractor vs. Government performance) and recommends actions based on time, cost, and quality
  • Use available tools, techniques, and standards to produce detailed systems specifications, prepare test plans, and define acceptance criteria
  • Prepare overall project recommendations from an ADP as well as business functional standpoint, including estimates of funding and schedule requirements
  • Conduct continuing review of computer technological developments and prepare long range forecasts of the pertinence of developments to JPMRC applications
  • Assist the JPMRC Signal Officer in maintaining the JPMRC inventory of hardware and software.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce standard methods and procedures for system acquisition development, distribution, training, installation, testing, maintenance, trouble reporting, and accountability
  • Interface between the Operations Group and the Schofield Barracks Service Center, Army Civilians, contractors and the Brigade
  • Provide technical advice to the Commander, Operations Group, O/C Team Chiefs, ITACSS Training Analysis and Feedback specialists, and other professional staff within the JPMRC, and regularly attend meetings as the automation SME
  • Performs studies/analyses of equipment and communications requirements and database/stores design for alternate approaches

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of IT concepts, principles, methods, and practices to analyze the potential of systems, networks, and data; advise on complex issues including, but not limited to JPMRC automation systems; interpret IT policies, standards and guidelines, and recommend adoption of new or enhanced IT delivery approaches
  • Knowledge of acquisition management, analytical, and project management policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of systems analysis, current system software and hardware, automation procurement procedures, and higher headquarters procedures
  • Knowledge of systems diagnostic tools and fault identification techniques, sufficient to: install and maintain software and hardware, control current versions and future releases of applications software, and document the physical configuration of an information system; optimize the functionality of networks and systems; and diagnose and recover failed systems
  • Performance tuning tools and techniques
  • Principles and methods for integrating information system components
Required Experience
  • SECRET clearance from DISCO
  • Requires an undergraduate degree in IT
  • Obtain and maintain favorable suitability under Code of Federal Regulations OR Common Access Card (CAC) equivalent
  • Compliant with FAR 52.204-2 and Security Agreement (DD Form 441)
