Job Description

CALIBRE Systems Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Information Technology Solutions company, is looking for a Mission Command Systems (MCS) Integrator to provide technical and operational support, systems administration, and serves as the technical subject matter expert in the deployment, integration, and training of Mission Command systems (MCS) to the US Army at FT Bragg. The MCS Integrator provides mission command systems troubleshooting and issue resolution; diagnostics of tactical communications and networks; and set-up, maintenance, upgrades, configuration management, and over-the-shoulder training for fielded mission command systems. The MCS Integrator prepares and delivers MCS training to military users and develops training methods and materials, including curriculum, lectures, and computer-based training aids.

  • Provides technical Support and setup, coordinates with external agency technical leads, and documents re-occurring technical meetings, tests, exercises, and events.
  • Installs, configures, and troubleshoots the MCS hardware and software
  • Assist with setting up and configuring MCs Application and Information Services Infrastructure (i.e. Tactical, Enterprise Networks) and Thick (Common Collaborative Environment) and Thin Client (Services Infrastructure).
  • Assist with setting up and configuring maps and overlays on MCS, for training and interoperability events.
  • Designs and executes mission command training in support of the simulations environment.
  • Develop and training support package (TSP) products for individual and collective MSC training.
  • Develops, manages, and documents problem tracking and resolution (PTR).
  • Monitors hardware and software implementation and ensures integrity of the software and information systems; make necessary modifications to ensure systems operate in conformance with specifications.
  • Plans and executes mission command systems hardware and software updates, software patches, security fixes, and service releases.
  • Analyze and document system configuration issues and implement corrections.
  • Test and troubleshoot hardware and software to ensure minimal downtime of systems using capability documents and performance of operational readiness tests in preparation for training events. Ensures that data security, including data retrieval, transmission, and storage, is conducted in accordance with (IAW) applicable government standards to ensure that data transmission and storage are secure and free from unauthorized access IAW AR 380-5 and AR 25-2.
  • Attends training, seminars, conferences, and events to enhance products and services relevancy to the operational training requirements.

Job Requirements

PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Five (5) years’ experience supporting military operations at the brigade or higher level.
  • Five (5) years’ experience with the employment, operations, management and documentation (PTRs), and technical support of MCS such as Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS); Air and Missile Defense Workstations (AMDWS); Battle Command Sustainment and Support System (BCS3); Battle Command Common Services (BCCS); Distributed Common Ground System – Army (DCGS-A); Force XXI Battle Command, Brigade-and-Below/ Blue Force Tracker (FBCB2/BFT); Command Post of the Future (CPoF); and Global Command and Control System - Army (GCCS-A).
  • Two (2) year experience developing, organizing, and maintaining Training Support Packages (TSP) that encompasses new operator and sustainment training for basic operators, system integrators, and senior leaders.
  • Experience providing technical advice on MCS employment and management as it relates to Battalion and above unit operations and training.
  • Experience with Windows 7, Windows 10, Microsoft Exchange and Windows Server technologies, Host Based Security System administration, and the operations of various operating systems and virtual machines including Solaris, Linux, and VMWare.
  • Experience with various relational databases (e.g. SQL Server).
  • Experience in development of standard operating procedures (SOP); tactics, technics, and procedures (TTP), Signal Planning; and observations, insights, lessons (OILs).
  • Knowledge and experience working with common computer hardware interface and data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, RS-422, USB, PCI, and RIO.
  • knowledge and experience in Information Infrastructure Data Dissemination Service (DDS) setup and configuration of current and emerging MC baseline frameworks.
  • Knowledge and experience in installing, maintaining, configuring and operating local and enterprise network security applications.
  • Knowledge of current SharePoint and hardware best use practices.
  • Knowledge and experience working with network architectures, virtualization software, and distributed application development.
  • Knowledge of the processes and procedures related to supporting home station, annual, and deployed training.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver technical and non-technical information and instructional briefings and other training to team members and government personnel.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technical discipline: Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Management, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical discipline (other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted).
  • Possesses DoD 8570 IAT II certification: CompTIA Security+ or higher Information Assurance certification.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Possesses and maintains an active SECRET clearance.
