Job Description

CALIBRE, a growing and vibrant employee-owned Management Consulting and Technology Solutions Company is looking for a Learning and Development Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. The Learning and Development Coordinator has a pivotal role in supporting CALIBRE’s commitment to professional development and growth for our employees. This position directly supports the company’s philosophy to foster leadership development, provide continuous training and create a learning organization. The ideal candidate should have familiarity with training and development concepts, experience with Learning Management Systems, thrive in a fast-paced environment and have basic office skills.


  • Plan and coordinate professional development activities according to schedule, paying close attention to detail and providing high quality service: providing training materials, scheduling of rooms, ordering catering, creating participant rosters, coordinating with Instructors and Students, etc.
  • Assist Instructors and Subject Matter Experts with course design, content and editing as necessary.
  • Act as coordinator for internal training program, CALIBRE University, to include: Course Schedule, Content Management, Classroom set up, Student Registration and Recordkeeping.
  • Execute all training and development tasks on time and in a high quality manner: training materials, scheduling rooms
  • Provide constructive feedback and comments captured on the post training surveys to all Instructors.
  • Serve as point of contact with outside learning, development and training vendors.
  • Monitor effectiveness of current learning and development programs and make recommendations for changes as needed.
  • Update and maintain accurate employee learning and development records within the HRIS.
  • Enforce compliance with all applicable state and federal employment and CALIBRE’s policy and procedures.
  • Create, analyze and distribute learning and development related reports as needed.
  • Perform other administrative functions related to recruiting.

NOTE: External Candidates will only be screened and interviewed if an Internal Candidate is not selected.

  • Ability to manage and/or prioritize multiple requests across entire company.

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and written with technical staff, peers, management and leadership.

  • Good analytical, critical thinking and reasoning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Technically proficient in using all MS Office programs but specially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant Learning & Development experience; or demonstrated knowledge to the same.
  • Experience working with learning management systems.
  • Familiar with learning and development programs, and adult learning theories.
