Job Description

CALIBRE is seeking an energetic, self-motivated IT Purchasing Manager to provide administrative support for IT purchasing, CPSR procurement documentation, process management, scheduling, and documentation. He/she will assist in developing and documenting policies, procedures, purchase request, purchase orders, vendor invoices, licenses and maintenance agreements. Successful candidates will understand or have experience with:

  • Planning, and execution of purchasing for IT equipment, software and services
  • Completing contractually required Contractor Procurement System Documentation
  • Experience in successfully fostering and maintaining vendor portfolios and relationships
  • Managing maintenance contracts for software, services, and devices. This includes managing a repository of maintenance contracts, vendors, and contacts.
  • Maintaining hardware and software licensing compliance by requesting and receiving annual quotes from vendors.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks.
  • Ability to research and analyze products and issues as required.
  • Must have previous project manager experience
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Experience interpreting technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
  • Lifting and transporting of heavy to moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals up to but not limited to 50lbs.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.

Desirable Skills:

  • 2 or more years’ experience that includes IT purchasing, asset management and software licensing.
Required Experience

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited college/university.
  • Candidates must have Project Management experience.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

(Other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted).
