Job Description

CALIBRE Systems Inc, an employee-owned Management Consulting and Information Technology Solutions company, is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator. The successful candidate will join a team to support range maintenance. The successful candidate will work directly with the CALIBRE Task Order Manager. This task will be conducted at Fort Knox, KY.

Job Requirements

  • Operate heavy equipment ( bulldozer, bobcat, backhoe, front loader, excavator, dump trucks, grader, and tractor and bush hog ) to push and grade or load and relocate earth, rip rap, gravel, or other materials; clear brush, stubble, tree stumps, and/or other debris; and repair and maintain access trails to training areas.
  • Operate heavy equipment from one place to another, on both improved and unimproved roads in inclement weather conditions.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and safety inspections prior to daily use.
  • Report equipment breakdowns, schedule maintenance for all equipment and request additional equipment as needed.
  • Ability to use proper lifting/loading techniques to load, properly bind and deliver heavy equipment to project sites.
  • Follow installation safety regulations.

Desired Skill(s):

  • Ability to assess and execute basic maintenance tasks using welding, electrical, carpentry and plumbing skills.
Required Experience
  • Candidates must pass background checks to meet installation access requirements.
  • Have demonstrated operator-level experience with heavy machinery.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills in a team-based development environment.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
  • Experience demonstrating the ability to work both individually and in team groups all consistent with the organizational goals.
  • Candidate should have a High School Diploma with at least (1 to 2) years relevant experience.
