Job Description

CALIBRE is looking for a Facilities and Operation Support Supervisor to support the Joint Staff Service Support Office (JSSSO) located in Suffolk, VA.  The candidate will provide supervision, guidance and assistance to technicians.  Understanding of facilities maintenance and proper equipment storage guidelines, experience with lockout/tag-out procedures, preventative maintenance and operation of uninterrupted power supply systems and auxiliary and emergency power to include generators.  Provide as required, but unforeseen and thus infrequently, 24 hour, 7 days a week on-call support for facility infrastructure systems issues.  Must be capable of maintaining familiarity with the power distribution system for providing escort for the building owner’s thermal/infrared imaging of generators, uninterrupted power supply, and electrical distribution equipment.  Supervising Technicians performing the following functions:

  • Maintains existing JSSSO facility AutoCAD & Adobe file drawings and performs configuration management by updating facility modification plans, databases, and tracking systems.
  • Provides non-IT setup and preparation for events such as exercises, meetings and demonstrations, and reconfiguration requirements in test bays and administrative spaces.
  • Supports the enforcement and execution of the JSSSO Parking Instruction by monitoring the Joint Staff email-box and acting on approved requests to post or remove magnetic signage, portable posts, cones, and barriers.
  • Supports management of the GSA RWA miscellaneous project and the landscaping, custodial, and OT HVAC RWA account, including escorting 3rd party vendor maintenance and service personnel, when necessary. This includes drafting statements of work and tracking GSA orders for such services to account for funds expended and available.
  • Provides administrative support to JSSSO by drafting & updating JSSSO documentation.
  • Supports facility space management and the management & maintenance of the JSSSO Picnic Area, including the configuration of picnic tables and a BBQ grill.
  • Provides Foreign Object Debris (FOD) removal and helo pad safety checks prior to helicopter arrival.
  • Provides facility operation and maintenance services to resolve Help Desk calls.
  • Applies HAZMAT policies as required to support facility maintenance operations.

Required Skills
  • Knowledge of building systems, equipment and facility operations.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must provide proof of a valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to use computers for work order submission and tracking.
  • Must be able to obtain or have a Final DoD Secret clearance.

Required Experience
  • At least 1 to 3 years of experience executing and supervising facility support operations using a service ticket system.
  • At least 1 to 3 years of experience coordinating/scheduling to perform required maintenance and coordinate/de-conflict with customers.
  • At least 1 to 3 years of experience executing Lockout/Tag-out.
  • At least 1 to 3 years of experience using AUTOCAD, Excel, and Microsoft Project Manager.
  • At least 1 to 3 years of experience developing and submitting work order request for facility maintenance approval and scheduling.
  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience executing procedures for preventive maintenance and operation of uninterruptable power supply, auxiliary and emergency power systems. Example (1500 KVA UPS system, 1.4 MG generators, 500 KW auxiliary power system).
  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience/familiarity with ADA, OSHA, state and local standards for industrial and administrative office buildings.

Desired Experience

  • Associate's Degree in related field or two additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Familiarity with DoD logistics processes.
