Job Description

CALIBRE, an employee-owned Management and Technology Services company is looking for a Data Analyst with database experience to join our dynamic team! The successful candidate will assist the federal government with the planning, management, and execution of the Second Destination Transportation (SDT) transportation functional operations.

We are seeking an energetic, customer-oriented Data Analyst responsible to assist the development and management of the SDT budget in compliance of the Financial Management Regulation (FMR) to meet federal transportation requirements, and provide analysis of the universe of transportation transactions, and fund execution.

Duties include:

  • Manage databases; including entry, editing, and troubleshooting to report trend analysis, reporting tables and charts for internal department and external clients and stakeholders, communicating with stakeholders, writing reports, and developing briefings.
  • Strong ability to interpret data into actionable Quality Assurance controls
  • Handle multiple priorities and adjust to short term plans to align with dynamic requirements
  • Capable of multi-tasking across different programs
  • Quality focused – build solutions which can be tested and delivered on time
  • Team focused – thrive on working in a team environment to deliver results

Be able to:

  • Collaborate with team members to identify requirements for the data analytics required to turn data into critical information.
  • Identifying data sources to discover insights and opportunities of Army appropriated programs.
  • Promote efforts to create continuous analytics review to report on current and future financial status.

Basic Qualifications:

  • The candidate must possess analytical, organizational and communication skills, both oral and written, and have experience interfacing with Government managers and staff. Must possess the ability to work as a team to meet all milestones established
  • The candidate must have a minimum of four years relevant experience or a four year degree with two years of experience.
  • Experience preparing deliverable documents related to data and feeds from financial and transportation systems

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (e.g., Microsoft suite).
  • Must have a secret clearance

Desirable skills and qualifications include:

  • Java, C++, VBA, EXCEL, Powerpoint, Word and Microsoft Office Suite software applications proficiency
Required Experience
  • Associates or Bachelor of Science degree in a related field (Other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted.)
  • At least 2-3 years of professional budget/financial related experience
