Job Description

CALIBRE, an employee-owned Management Consulting and Information Technology Solutions Company, is looking for a Cybersecurity Strategist to support an Intelligence Community (IC) organization within the US Department of Defense (DoD). The work requires analysis, planning, and research of cybersecurity commercial technology, operations, standards, design, and capabilities. Further, the individual will be responsible to assure objectives are relevant, visionary, aligned toward strategic initiatives, and leverage whole of government partnerships. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Deliver analytic reports based on assessments of current capabilities, identification of gaps, and forming compelling rationale to justify re-allocation of assets, resources and funding
  • Collect data, research and reports to aggregate in to compelling and actionable plans for operations and engagements
  • Participate, and in multiple instances lead, cybersecurity planning process to develop detailed cryptologic Functional Support Plans (FSPs), Cryptologic Support Plans (CSPs), and Concept of Operations (CONOPs) that support the Cyber Capabilities and/or Operation requirements of the DoD, the U.S. government and its allies
  • Leverage commercial industry, Joint, Service and Interagency planning, industry & academia partnerships, as well as capability research and development, and/or operational experience to support strategic and operational level planning across the Intelligence Community and the full range of DoD and U.S. Government operations
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity analysts to understand vulnerability and mitigations to identify and levy requirements for intelligence collection and analysis
  • Participate in targeting selection, validation, synchronization, and execution of complex cyber missions
  • Have sufficient technical knowledge to understand cyber capabilities, target vulnerabilities, and effects
  • Collaborate with cyber planners, operators, analysts, and RDT&E Engineers to gain access to data sets, provide analytic assessments and technical intelligence to meet planning objectives.
  • Create work teams with appropriate employees and stakeholders to accomplish work goals

Job Requirements

  • Must hold/obtain TS/SCI with Full-Scope Poly
  • At least 7 (prefer 10) years of experience in cybersecurity or information assurance with a clearly demonstrated path of accomplishment
  • Experience with USG or DoD cybersecurity programs including familiarity with integration of services for agency requirements, inter-agency integration, assessment of acquisition programs, and programs responsible for applying emerging/next-generation cyber technologies
  • Ability to conduct data collection and analysis of major DoD Cybersecurity and Information Technology programs
  • Baseline knowledge of emerging cybersecurity technologies that support DoD’s transition to cloud based architectures to include awareness of applicable cybersecurity operations and technical threats
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to include preparation and delivery of high-level briefings
  • Ability to work independently
Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with cybersecurity experience; (other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted)

Desired Experience or Skills:

  • Full-Scope Poly
  • Staffing and analytical skills; experience with the Office of the Secretary of Defense, NSA, USCC, and/or Joint Staff, Service Staffs
  • Master’s Degree
