Job Description

CALIBRE, an employee-owned Management Consulting and Information Technology Solutions Company, is looking for an Cyber Security Team Lead to support a Chief Information Officer (CIO) organization within the US Department of Defense (DoD). The work will support the CIO in meeting its mission requirements and further support the execution of programs and missions by, assisting, advising, and providing the community with federated, technology-enabled Human Resources (HR) business and IT processes that are compliant with Departmental policies, strategically aligned, and customer-focused.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Advise Government CIO and Authorizing Official on a range of enterprise level security-related issues including, but not limited to RMF accreditation, establishing information system boundaries, assessing the severity of weaknesses, risk mitigation approaches, security alerts, and vulnerabilities.

  • Assist with creation of an overall Cybersecurity strategy plan.

  • Assist CIO with coordination of Incident Management activities with the appropriate DoD Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) representatives.

  • Assist with ATO and all stages of RMF activities which include, but are not limited to preparing accreditation packages, continuous monitoring plans, POAMs, risk assessment reports, and creating a security plan.

  • Providing Enterprise-level visibility of all authorization packages offering comprehensive organizational security postures via Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).

  • Provide support in documenting and maintaining a comprehensive architecture of high value assets (HVA).

Required Skills

  • Must have an active Secret Clearance.
  • Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level III; Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP), GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).

Required Experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related technical discipline; other education, commensurate experience and the demonstrated ability of the individual may be substituted
  • 8+ years of progressive experience as an Information Assurance Manager/Lead
  • Experience with eMASS or similar tool required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of DoD security regulations
  • Demonstrated experience with Risk Management Framework, NIST 800-53, implementing corrective IA changes, and managing the security baseline of applications
  • Knowledge of Public and Private cloud architecture patterns including but not limited to AWS and Azure
  • Knowledge of FedRAMP Cloud security and guidelines and policy
  • Domain knowledge to include: Cross-Domain Technologies, virtualization, cloud IA, cryptography, PKI, network, host-based intrusion detection and prevention systems, and operational readiness, verification and validation

Desired Experience or Skills:

  • Familiar with Cybersecurity Remediation Management practices as required by the DoD Cyber Strategy to include Vulnerability Analysis and use of the RMF Process.
