CALIBRE Systems Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Information Technology Solutions company, is looking for an experienced individual as a Capture Manager to support winning new business. This position will work in the Alexandria, VA office – it is not open to remote/home office support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing capture processes to win new business and achieve aggressive sales goals.

The Capture Manager will handle multiple major pursuits in the Federal Civilian, Defense, and commercial market spaces, work across organizational lines to develop winning bids, handle teaming, brief senior leadership, and manage internal and external pursuit resources responsibly. The ideal candidate will have superb attention to detail, strong grasp of process, be a hands-on manager, and have a track record of winning new business with Federal and/or commercial clients, to include B2B on pursuits greater than $10M. Applicants selected will be subject to a background check and/or government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Job Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of federal acquisition/procurement and contract management practices, to include understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Demonstrated collaborative team leadership and team building characteristics. S/he is a coach/player who can empower, collaborate, and delegate when and where necessary, while remaining personally accountable for the overall capture and bid effort
  • Knowledge and understanding of all contract types/vehicles, to include IDIQ, GSA/GWAC, and RFPs, and fixed price, cost reimbursable, and cost plus requirements
  • Must demonstrate tracking and prioritization, assembling teams, developing winning solutions, and organizing and leading the pursuit process
  • Possess and display high ethical and business standards
  • Be able to work effectively under stress and tight timelines, processing information quickly and accurately with superior attention to detail
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Sharepoint and Microsoft Office (in particular Word, Outlook, Excel, and Powerpoint)
  • Trained in and/or strong familiarity with the Shipley Capture Planning process.
Required Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of capture management experience demonstrating development of Capture Plans for key pursuits with an extensive understanding of competitive assessments, risk review triggers and processes, pricing, price-to-win, recruiting/staffing, teaming arrangements/workshare, and proposal development
  • Prior experience/service in the Federal Government and/or Military Services, or project management, engineering, or environmental markets
  • Strong familiarity with one or more of the following market spaces to include the competitive environment: technical services, base operations, training, engineering and environmental services, and other Federal staff augmentation
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required (other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted)
  • A current SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
