Job Description

CALIBRE, an employee-owned Management and Technology Services Company is looking for an Budget Analyst to work in a team; manage the collection, analysis, and reporting of data; perform operational and financial internal controls; construct and analyze daily and ad-hoc reports; communicate with stakeholders, program manager, and customers to ensure customers’ needs are met; resolve issues in a timely manner; and be able to meet required deliverables and deadlines. The Analyst must be able to effectively and efficiently coordinate the use of business information technology and resources, improve process performance, and recommend strategies to meet customer information objectives. Must be able to identify errors and process issues to develop/recommend and/or implement corrective measures in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

  • Requires Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Working knowledge of DOD financial and transportation databases, processes and procedures
  • Experience and familiarity with government audit and/or accounting
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to work in team settings
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills
  • Excellent briefing skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work with multiple stakeholders concurrently
  • Extensive experience with MS Office Suite and reporting skills
  • Experience with GFEBS and legacy migrations to ERP systems is preferred


  • Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly financial reports
  • Review and interpret financial reports to identify trends, rates of obligation and expenditure, actual versus projected costs
  • Assisting in preparing and analyzing the monthly status of funds reports from the financial system of record.
  • Assists in reviewing and analyzing budget estimates and requests for allotments and/or allowances submitted by stakeholders.
  • Support financial system integrity by resolving unmatched disbursements (UMDs); resolving database errors; reconcile database statuses.
  • Conduct studies and analyses of financial execution of programs, projects and tasks.
Required Experience
  • BA/BS or commensurate work years in related field (Other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted.)
  • Preferred Certification: Accounting - Related Certification (CPA, CIA, CDFM, CFM, etc.)
