CALIBRE Systems, inc., an employee-owned, mission focused solutions and digital transformation company is seeking a highly qualified Senior Automation Test Engineer.
The Senior Automation Test Engineer is a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-level automation solutions across web, API, and microservices platforms. This role supports mission-critical systems across the EEOC ecosystem by ensuring high-quality delivery, robust automation coverage, and the integration of modern AI-driven quality engineering capabilities.
The engineer will work closely with QA, development, program leadership, and cross-functional teams to elevate test maturity, accelerate release cycles, and ensure reliability and compliance of all digital services.
Required Skills
1. AI-Enhanced Test Automation
• Use AI tools, especially Co-Pilot to accelerate test case design, test data creation, automated script development, and framework maintenance.
• Implement AI-assisted defect classification, root-cause analysis, and automated impact analysis to improve software quality.
• Apply AI-driven strategies to increase productivity, reduce regression effort, and improve overall test effectiveness.
• Apply and analyze performance test scenarios using Apache JMeter.
2. Test Automation Engineering
• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, modular, and maintainable automation frameworks using Java and modern automation technologies.
• Build robust automated suites covering functional, integration, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing for enterprise and web applications.
• Create and maintain automation using Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent UI automation frameworks.
• Establish automation design standards, reusable components, and coding best practices for cross-team adoption.
• Analyze automation execution results, identify failures, and provide actionable insights to development and QA teams.
• Continuously evolve automation coverage to reduce manual testing effort and accelerate release velocity.
3. API Testing & Quality Engineering
• Architect and automate test solutions for RESTful APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.
• Develop automated API collections, validations, and test suites using Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent tools.
• Validate all API layers, including functionality, data integrity, authentication/authorization, and integration points.
• Contribute to functional, regression, performance, security, and integration testing across multi-tiered systems.
• Ensure quality and reliability across front-end, middleware, and backend layers of enterprise platforms.

• Strong expertise in Java-based automation frameworks and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and modern web automation technologies.
• Proficiency in developing API test collections and validations using Postman, including automation scripting.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices ecosystems.
• Working knowledge of SQL and database validation methodologies.
• Experience with Git-based source control, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum delivery models.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong programing knowledge in JAVA
