We're looking for a Junior Graphic Designer who is eager to learn, collaborate, and create meaningful work that supports both our company and the important missions of our clients.

As part of our Corporate Communications and Marketing team, you'll support the development of compelling visual communications that advance the CALIBRE’s brand, business objectives, and mission delivery. While your primary focus will be supporting corporate stakeholders, you'll also have opportunities to contribute to client-facing projects and contract teams from time to time.

This is a great opportunity for a designer early in their career who wants exposure to a wide variety of projects, enjoys working with different teams, and is excited by the intersection of creativity, technology, and visual storytelling.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

No two days are exactly alike, but you can expect to:

  • Design visually engaging materials for digital, print, presentation, and environmental applications.
  • Create graphics for recruiting, internal communications, marketing campaigns, social media, events, and business development efforts.
  • Develop presentations that transform complex information into clear and compelling visual stories.
  • Support company branding initiatives and help ensure consistency across all communications.
  • Partner with stakeholders across marketing, communications, HR, recruiting, business development, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Occasionally support client-facing projects by developing visual communications and deliverables for contract teams.
  • Prepare print-ready and digital-ready files that meet quality and production standards.
  • Edit and optimize photos, graphics, and other visual assets.
  • Maintain digital asset libraries, templates, and brand resources.
  • Explore new design approaches, technologies, and AI-powered tools that enhance creativity and efficiency.
  • Balance multiple projects while managing deadlines and stakeholder expectations.

Salary range will be $55k to $70k annually

Required Skills

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience creating presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles, including typography, layout, branding, visual hierarchy, and color theory.
  • Ability to prepare files for both print and digital distribution.
  • Basic photo editing and image optimization skills.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience with Adobe After Effects and/or Premiere Pro.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics, video editing, or animation.
  • Familiarity with Canva, Figma, or other collaborative design tools.
  • Understanding of accessibility and Section 508 compliance.
  • Experience supporting marketing, communications, proposal, or business development activities.
  • Photography, videography, or digital asset management experience.

required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, Fine Arts, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of graphic design experience, including internships, freelance projects, academic work, or professional experience.
  • A portfolio showcasing your creativity, design thinking, and visual communication skills.
