CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is seeking a Kubernetes platform engineer to join our CALIBRE Innovation Center. The successful candidate will function as a technical advisor and client advocate for our clients. You will work closely with our clients to help them achieve business and mission success using Kubernetes solutions. In this role, you will perform solution implementation and technical support to drive customer satisfaction and success. You will support many different clients on short-term engagements.  Position will require travel within the United States.  

Position can be remote. CANDIDATES MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE.  

 

Required Skills

Responsibilities:

1.      Client implementation: You will implement Kubernetes management platform solutions. You will work with clients to design and implement customized solutions.

2.      Technical Support and Troubleshooting: You will help clients resolve technical problems related to the platform implementation.

3.      Customer Success:  You will build relationships with clients to help them leverage Kubernetes platforms effectively.

4.      Provide Guidance and Best Practices: You will provide clients with guidance and best practices for Kubernetes, including containerization, deployment, and security. You will provide training to enable clients to effectively use Kubernetes management platforms.

required Experience

1.      U.S. Citizenship is required/Must have an Active Secret Clearance

2.      At least 8 years of experience in software development, software engineering, cloud deployment, and/or Kubernetes management.

3.      Extensive experience with Kubernetes container orchestration platforms (e.g., any of EKS, Spectro Cloud, OpenShift) and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, VMWare, etc).

4.      Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and OCI-compliant runtimes.

5.      Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.) and DevSecOps best practices.

6.      Security best practices knowledge, including container security, IAM policies, and vulnerability scanning.

7.      Proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, and infrastructure as code

8.      Experience in troubleshooting technical issues

9.      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

10.  Ability to effectively work collaboratively

11.  Able to travel

12.  Able to obtain a Top Secret or above security clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications

1.      Experience with DoD and US Government cybersecurity authorization processes is a plus

2.      Relevant certifications are a plus (Kubernetes, RHCE and/or cloud certifications)
