CALIBRE, an employee-owned management consulting and digital transformation company, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack Developer) to join our team.  The selected candidate will focus on creating user interactions, developing and maintaining web services, and building databases and APIs to enhance functionality.

This is a project-based role with a duration from February 1, 2025, to September 29, 2025

Candidates must have an active Secret Clearance to be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop user interactions and interfaces across various platforms.
  • Write optimized code for front-end and back-end development.
  • Build and maintain databases, web services, and APIs using Angular, NodeJS, Java, IntelliJ, SQL, and Git.
  • Utilize Linux for operating system maintenance and support.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and debug software applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on agile sprints and projects.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, communicate blockers, and effectively engage with clients and team members.
  • Contribute to and follow Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes to ensure clean and functional code.

  • Proficient in peer reviewing and guiding developers during the development process.
  • Skilled at providing feedback and assistance on database modifications.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in web service standards, such as SOAP, REST, WSDL, and WS-I Basic Profile.
  • Familiarity with SOA stack technologies (e.g., Oracle Enterprise Service Bus, rules engine, service broker).
  • Expertise in XML standards, including XML Schema, XSLT, XPath, and XML parsing.
  • Experience with Java Enterprise Edition (e.g., EJB-3, JAX-Web Service, dependency injection).
  • Background in Army Logistics is highly desirable.
  • Certification or experience with Linux OS (e.g., Ubuntu).
  • Experience with Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, and related tools.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks, including automation, migration scripts, and permissions.
