CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an Employee-Owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is seeking an individual who will support missions of the National Guard Bureau (NGB) J8. The analyst will possess expertise within aspects of one or more DoD processes that include the Joint Strategic Planning System (JSPS), Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), and Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) and experience on a senior military staff. The analyst will participate in analysis and formulation of advice and assist in preparation and presentation of reports, briefings, and project deliverables.

 

Tasks include:

·      Provide expert support to execution of the National Guard Requirements Oversight Council (NGROC) process, development, update, and staffing of associated issuances, and the development and staffing of NGROC documents.

·      Collaborate with staff across the NGB JS and DoD to develop or maintain relationships that aid in situational awareness and knowledge of NGB missions and anticipate requirements in support of NGB senior leaders.

·      Participate in analysis, coordination, and planning to develop and shape solutions to issues involving NGB capability gaps and presentations to senior leaders.

·      Assist in assessing issues, providing timely information, and developing recommendations for NGB leaders in support of their participation in senior leader forums.

·      Support developing and responding to formal staffing actions. Assist in developing, staffing, and finalizing NGB senior leader correspondence and written military advice.

Required Skills

·      U.S. Citizen

·      Current Top Secret clearance and eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

·      Must possess proven analytical and strong organizational skills.

·      Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task across concurrent initiatives.

·      Exceptional verbal and written communication and organization skills.

·      Advanced proficiency with groupware applications (e.g., SharePoint, MS Teams) and the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint., etc.).

·      Must be able to travel.

 

Preferred Skills:

·      Proficiency in the use of PowerApps.

·      Proficiency in DOD tasking systems.

·      Proficiency in KM/DS.

·      Proficiency in the use of Advana.

required Experience

·      4 – 6 years of experience working within the senior defense organizations in the Pentagon (Services, Reserve Components, Joint Staff, National Guard Bureau Joint Staff, OSD)

·      4 – 6 years of experience in areas related to one or more major Defense and Joint processes, especially capabilities and requirements development, as performed in HQDA, HAF, Joint Staff, NGB-JS and OSD.

 

Preferred Experience:

·      10+ years of experience working within the senior defense organizations in the Pentagon (Services, Reserve Components, Joint Staff, National Guard Bureau Joint Staff, OSD). 

·      10+ years of experience in areas related one or more major Defense and Joint processes, especially capabilities and requirements development, as performed in HQDA, HAF, Joint Staff, NGB-JS NGB ARNG, NGB ANG and OSD. 

·      Experience working with the State NG-JFHQs, NGB ARNG, NGB ANG and NGB JS.

 

Required Education:

·      Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

·      Graduate of CGSC or ILE if former military officer, commensurate Professional Military Education if former military Warrant, Enlisted or Civil Service.

 

Preferred Education:

·      Master’s Degree from an accredited school by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Financial or accounting focus is preferred.

·      Graduate of SSC if former military officer, commensurate Professional Military Education if former military Warrant, Enlisted or Civil Service.
