System Security Officer

CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an employee-owned management consulting and digital transformation company, is looking for a highly motivated System Security Officer to join our dynamic team supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). As a member of the project team, will support the design, development, and continuous security monitoring of SharePoint On-Premises and SharePoint Online hosted in the Microsoft Azure for Government (MAG) cloud platform.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as first line of contact with all Component Org ISSOs (Federal and Contractor staff) to ensure smooth and timely integrations to comply with CMS security controls.
  • Conduct security controls assessments by utilizing NIST Special Publication 800-53a and perform stakeholder interviews, examination of documentation and technical testing of the required security controls.
  • Maintain and document security plans, contingency plans, compliance, safeguards, risks, milestones, security controls assessment, FedRAMP access and understanding of inheritance, CFACTS entry and maintenance, and other security artifacts as directed by CMS.
  • Maintain the Authority to Operate (ATO), and other security compliance with HHS/CMS security policies and procedures.
  • Conduct security research in keeping abreast of latest security issues.

Required Skills

  • Active Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP®) certification through the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium.
  • Strong verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to hold Public Trust.

required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years’ experience.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing enterprise security.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint On-Premises and SharePoint Online (SPO).
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure for Government (MAG) cloud platform.
  • Health and Human Services (HHS) experience a plus.
