CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an Employee-Owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, looking for a qualified individual to serve as Learning Management System Administrator at the Army Force Management School (AFMS). The primary function of the job is to operate, maintain and service Moodle® and Blackboard® LMS, update the client’s web page for content and functionality and property accountability of primarily automated systems throughout the school.

The primary function of the job is to operate, maintain and service Moodle® and Blackboard® LMS, update the client’s web page for content and functionality and property accountability of primarily automated systems throughout the school.

The LMS Administrator duties include, but are not limited to the operation, maintenance and update of the following:  

  • Management of Moodle® content and functionality (AFMS-Learn)
  • Management of Blackboard content and functionality (TRADOC Enterprise Lifelong Learning System) This is a back-up system to Moodle®
  • Provide property Accountability for over 300 computers and automated systems (yearly inventories, new equipment arrivals and equipment turn in). Note: all computers are on three-year life cycle
  • Lead the Knowledge Management (KM) processes for the school
  • Manage SharePoint within Army 365 Microsoft Teams® environment
  • Manage and update AFMS web page (www.afms.edu) content and functionality (includes limited coding)
  • Coordinate course files for updates in the LMS
  • Conduct virtual in-processing for students participating in a virtual course
  • Manage or operate electronics/audiovisual / information systems in multi-purpose room (Graduation Hall, Conference Hall)
  • Exercise supervision of small educational technology team
    provide advice regarding the use, management and disposition of the school’s educational technologies and automation systems
  • Support the incorporation of distributed learning products onto the LMS

Required Skills

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must possess a SECRET security clearance.
  • Three-to-five years’ experience in support of military or corporate sector   LMS/Web/Educational Technology
  • Three-to-five years’ experience working customer service in an organization (corporate or military)
  • Must be able and willing to plan, coordinate, integrate, and prepare staffing actions at the high-quality standard. 
  • Ability to work in team settings, communicate, and collaborate with multiple organizations.
  • Excellent oral communications skills. The position requires addressing students individually and in class setting on a regular basis.
  • Excellent written communications skills with the ability to write reports and briefings.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to complete tasks as assigned.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, multi-task, and prioritize to meet multiple consecutive deadlines.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite, especially Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel and Teams.

Required Education

Master’s Degree in Education Technologies or related field (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree in Educational Technologies or related field (required)
