CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an Employee-Owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is seeking a full time Instructional System Designer (ISD) to work as part of a Curriculum Development Team to provide support to the Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) G9, Directorate of Prevention, Resilience, and Readiness (DPRR) for the purpose of increasing the physical and psychological health, resilience, and performance of Soldiers, Families, and Department of the Army Civilians, Department of the Defense Personnel, Contractors supporting R2 Programs and, United States Government Agencies, and Allied Forces.
Tasks include:

- Provide curriculum development expertise for resilience and performance enhancement-based curriculum using the Instructional System Design (ISD)/Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) model/process and DOD/Army curriculum development standards.
- Manage the five phases of curriculum development IAW with industry standards and applicable regulations.
- Perform curriculum revisions, conduct and review of pilot content, lead and perform adaptations to curriculum which may include development of new learning materials.
- Lay the framework for the curriculum to be executed regularly within units and R2 Performance Centers.
- Assist other DPRR owned programs with curricula development in a supporting role, such as reviewer, editor, or advisor.
- Upload and maintain the curriculum library on the designated Government information system.
- Develop and maintain a milestone schedule for curriculum projects, reviews, redevelopments, and distance learning projects.
- Perform weekly curriculum updates and monthly curriculum review boards.
- Collaborate with think tanks on developing new or reviewing existing curricula, developing instructional strategies and methods, assessing curricula effectiveness, providing feedback to DPRR leadership, and developing training new instructional methods.
- Develop performance-based curriculum rather than knowledge-based training curriculum and create instructional experiences that make the attainment of skills and knowledge more effective, efficient, and appealing.
- Design and implement synchronous and asynchronous courses using current multimedia e-learning supportive tools.
Required Skills
- US Citizen
- Must have passed a NAC-I background check.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of the Army Organizational structure, mission objectives, function, procedures, regulations, and policy pertaining to the Department of the Army.
- Speak, read, and comprehend English to the extent that they can read and understand printed regulations, written orders, operating procedures, training instructions and materials, and perform the duties assigned.
- Knowledge and experience with the ADDIE process.
- Must be able to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
required Experience
- Five years of experience in curriculum development
- Completed course work or experience in the following four areas:
- Learning theory, psychology of learning, educational psychology: Study of learning theories as they relate to the systematic design, development, and validation of instructional material.
- Instructional design practices: Study of the principles and techniques used in designing training programs, developing design strategy and models, and applying design methods to the improvement of instructional effectiveness.
- Educational evaluation: Study of the techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional/educational programs, including developing written and performance tests and survey instruments, and determining reliability and validity of evaluation instruments.
- Instructional product development: Study of the techniques appropriate for developing training materials, including identifying learner characteristics, specifying objectives, applying training strategy, validating training materials, and evaluating training.
Required Education:
Master’s degree in a field of instructional design, curriculum and instruction, education (with a focus on curriculum and instruction) or equivalent field.
