Software Developer - TS/SCI w/ polygraph

CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is looking for a Software Developer with TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

 

The successful candidate will work with a customer team(s) and within a broader Software Development/Systems Engineering team to design and develop software applications, and potentially assist with the migrating of existing applications from legacy platforms to newer infrastructure /platforms.  The customer has a desire to build new and migrate existing systems from legacy platforms to the cloud. Analysis of existing customer requirements and ability to create high quality, effective software application designs/modules will be critical to the success of this position. The applicant should have experience in various Software Development languages and technologies such as Java, Ruby, and/or .NET along with AWS. Experience with Java, Spring framework, JavaScript, AWS (CLI & console), various testing frameworks, XML, and JSON is desired. Additional expertise in technologies such as AJAX, JQuery, HTML, CSS, and other platforms would be highly beneficial. 

 

The candidate is expected to actively participate in requirements capture and definition meetings with the customer, and may be responsible for software requirements, development, deployment, administration, and testing. Additionally, the candidate must be equally comfortable working independently or with a team, be self-motivated, exhibit excellent project/task management and coordination skills, being able to interface with multiple stakeholders.  The position is located in Northern Virginia, but exact location may vary.   Up to 10% local travel is required.

 

 

Required Skills

 

  • Must hold an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • A minimum of 5 years experience with JavaScript.

  • A minimum of 3 years experience with Agile Software Development best practices

  • AWS Solutions Architect Certificate (2018 or later)

  • Strong software development experience

  • Solid software design, and testing skills

  • Familiarity with various software development technologies and testing frameworks.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.

  • Self-motivated, responsible, organized, detail oriented, quick learner, and a team player.

  • Must possess a high attention to detail.

required Experience

  • 5+ years of software development experience with JavaScript.

  • 3+ years of Agile software development best practice experience.

  • 5+ years of software development in language such as Java, Ruby, .NET.AWS Solutions Architect Certification
  • 3+ years of AWS/cloud experience including cloud design, testing, and deployment technologies.

  • Demonstrated success is a highly engaged, customer-focused environment. 

  • HTML (preferably HTML5), JavaScript, CSS, XML.

  • 2+ years in secure US Government environments.

  • Experience with jQuery, AJAX, and JSON is beneficial.

  • Working knowledge of various Software Development Platforms.

  • Experience with transition/migration of content and functionality to other platforms.

  • Understanding of project management and business processes and systems.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT field is preferred

 (Other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted.)
