This position is in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).  CALIBRE’s support includes various requirements of Facilities Operations (MSF), Life Cycle Management (MSL), and Real Property Investments and Deployments (MSR), better known as Facilities, Logistics and Environmental (FLE). 

The successful candidate for this Environmental Specialist (Advanced) position will provide comprehensive environmental management support to the Missile Defense Agency in the following areas:

  • Regulatory environmental compliance
  • Environmental impact analysis
  • Planning
  • Policy and strategy development
  • Sustainability
  • Conservation
  • Related technical assistance, including support to all agency missions, weapons systems acquisition, development, testing, deployment, sustainment, and fielding at geographically dispersed locations worldwide

Required Skills

  • Capable of assisting with environmental and technical expertise related to facility planning, acquisition, fielding, testing, and operation related to strategic environmental planning, compliance, and management with general supervision
  • Ability to assist in the development of plans and coordination of environmental management and technical support related to facility and weapons systems planning, development, acquisition, fielding, testing, operation, maintenance, and disposal
  • Ability to follow established procedures and solving routine problems
  • Proficiency with the standard Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Degree / Years of Experience requirement is as follows:

 BA/BS in engineering or related environmental field with 5 years of relevant experience

  • Experience supporting execution of environmental policies, studies, impact analysis, and management of environmental activities, including document preparation
