CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Information Technology services company, is looking for a Utility Systems Engineering to support the U.S. Army Office of Energy Initiatives (OEI).  OEI is the central management office for the business case development and execution of large-scale (>10MW) renewable and alternative energy security projects with preferred financing through private capital investment. OEI uses existing Department of Defense (DoD) authorities, including those for power purchase agreements (PPA), enhanced use leases (EUL) and easements, to attract private capital investment.

Utility Systems Engineer will serve as part of the Engineering team, which is responsible for developing conceptual designs and cost estimates for projects and ensuring all services and products delivered comply with the Unified Facilities Criteria requirements.

  • Solid skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

required Experience

  • Design and construction of utility and transmission line systems and interconnections
  • Development and deployment of various microgrid and major grid control technologies with utility systems and utility infrastructures
  • Functions as the subject matter expert for evaluation and implementation of all project interconnection, utility, and transmission line requirements
  • Provides engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development, and implementation for complex systems in the engineering discipline required to meet technical requirements
  • Makes recommendations and advises on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts
  • Performs risk assessments and analyses employing modeling and simulation techniques
  • Works collaboratively to promote a team environment
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Preferred experience working with Army and DoD executive organizations
