NGB Program Analyst

CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an Employee-Owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is seeking an individual to support the National Guard Bureau J8. The analyst will participate in the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) processes as exercised at the Service, Reserve Component, Joint and DOD levels. The Analyst will participate in strategic analysis and assessment, war gaming, modeling and simulations, exercises and capability development. He or she will assist in preparation and presentation of reports, briefings, and project deliverables.

 

Tasks include:

  • Enabling NGB J8 functions in support of National Guard, Service, and DoD PPBE processes.
  • Contributing to and interpreting strategic analysis and assessments.
  • Supporting review, development and assessment of strategic document and concepts.
  • Supporting and integrating capability development to support National Guard requirements.

Required Skills

Required Skills:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Must hold an active Secret clearance
  • Must possess proven analytical and strong organizational skills
  • Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task across concurrent initiatives
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and organization skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word products
  • Must be able to travel

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in DOD tasking systems
  • Certified Defense Financial Manager

required Experience

Required Experience:

  • Three to six years of experience working within the senior defense organizations in the Pentagon (Services, Reserve Components, Joint Staff, National Guard Bureau Joint Staff and OSD).
  • Three to six years of experience in PPBE/JCIDS as performed by the Services, Reserve Components, Joint Staff, National Guard Bureau and OSD.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Six to 10+ years of experience working within the senior defense organizations in the Pentagon (Services, Reserve Components, Joint Staff, National Guard Bureau Joint Staff and OSD).
  • Six to 10+ years of experience in PPBE/JCIDS as performed by the Services, Reserve Components, Joint Staff, National Guard Bureau and OSD.
  • Experience serving in the 54 States, Territories and the District of Columbia.

 

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Graduate of CGSC or ILE if former military officer, commensurate Professional Military Education if former military Warrant, Enlisted or Civil Service.

 

Preferred Education:

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited school by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
